I installed Sabayon on a HP Pavillon. It runs without fail. But now it will not start. I have rechecked this with several live distros like Knoppix or the Linux User Rescue Disk. I can see the partitions as lvm 2 partitions. But it is not possible to mount or to read them. I would like to copy some files from the harddisk on an usb disk and to install Sabayon new. Has anybody an idea?
The Sabayon Linux Live spins all have sys-devel/llvm, sys-devel/llvm-common and sys-fs/lvm2 installed. Have you tried booting a Sabayon Live CD/Pendrive and following the other instructions in the blog post Mounting LVM Disk using Ubuntu livecd?
