3rd display configuration

Postby bookewyrmm » Tue Jan 24, 2017 16:32

I have been playing around with my desktop hardware and decided to add a 3rd monitor.

All 3 monitors are Dell 2011H models. Primary monitor is on the left.
Left and middle monitors connect to my Nvidia GTX730 by DVI and work great under KDE PLASMA !WOOT! also using Sabayon daily image!
The new monitor located on the right, is connected by HDMI to a port on my motherboard graphics supplied by the i5 CPU, enabled on the motherboard.

I do get a console prompt on the monitor, but can not figure out how to :
a: access the console without disrupting the GUI on the other 2 monitors and/or
b: configure a GUI for this display and/or
c: reorient the console for portrait output

any of these options are acceptable, since I do as much in the yakuake console/terminal as in a GUI so having one constantly open is only a bonus.

I have tried enabling multiple virtual desktops, to no avail, I have tried the standard ctrl+alt+f1-12 and all I get is a terminal on monitor #1

KDE System settings only sees the 2 monitors connected to the Nvidia card

Hi,

I have a notebook supporting fine two displays under Windows (his builtin and another over HDMI...).
But I could not make them work under Linux.
I see KDE desktop on the second monitor, but I can't actually move the mouse pointer to it.
I also have a mixed video card setup, an Intel HD4000 and Nvidia 650M.

Regards.
