From /var/log/entropy/entropy.log :

Code: Select all

[09:06:52 25/05/2014 CEST] INFO: [Package] [client] Remove old package (spm data): sys-kernel/linux-sabayon-3.14.2
[09:06:52 25/05/2014 CEST] INFO: [Package] [client] Removing from SPM: sys-kernel/linux-sabayon-3.14.2
[09:06:52 25/05/2014 CEST] INFO: [Package] [client] Installing new SPM entry: sys-kernel/linux-sabayon-3.14.3
The problem started with this upgrade.

You need remove parameter

Code: Select all

dokeymap
and

Code: Select all

keymap=pl
Here my example:

Code: Select all

BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/kernel-genkernel-x86_64-3.12.0-sabayon root=UUID=6bd68f1a-56bf-4973-aa14-0679c3bb2be8 ro intel_pstate=disable rootfstype=ext4 vga=791 resume=/dev/sda7
#cat /etc/vconsole.conf

Code: Select all

FONT=ter-k14n
KEYMAP=ru

According to the evgeniusx 's suggestion i removed keymap=it from /etc/default/sabayon-grub (dokeymap was already removed in a previous attempt) and did the usual grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg . The problem seems solved, the console's behavior is regular. So we can consider the two params outdated, i suppose. Thanks to evgeniusx.

According to my boot.log the problem is to do with iSCSI.
I get this message; No iSCSI initiator found
The version is iscsistart: transport class version 2.0-870. iscsid version 2.0-872

I'm using 3.13 and not 3.14

System is SLK fully updated (using sabayonlinux.org)

This started after the update I did on 29th. May which was mainly KDE

Remove "dokeymap" from /etc/default/sabayon-grub and run, as root:

Code: Select all

grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg
