Intel IMSM

Post by TeeJay76 » Sat May 25, 2013 9:37

I have a laptop (Dell Inspiron 15r) with some sort of fakeraid (intel IMSM). This couples a 1TB disk with a 32 GB SSD.

I can't manage to make it work properly under Linux but I'd like to keep it since I dual boot (albeit not very often) with windows.

The error I get is:
mdadm -As

mdadm: Container /dev/md/imsm0 has been assembled with 1 drive
mdadm: Container /dev/md/imsm1 has been assembled with 1 drive
mdadm(IMSM): Unsupported attributes : 2000000
mdadm: Unsupported attributes in IMSM metadata.Arrays activation is blocked.
mdadm: Cannot activate member /md127/0 in /dev/md127.
mdadm(IMSM): Unsupported attributes : 2000000
mdadm: Unsupported attributes in IMSM metadata.Arrays activation is blocked.
mdadm: Cannot activate member /md126/0 in /dev/md126.

Is there a way to make it work or should I build it from scratch with mdadm a forget about compatibility?
