Bumblebee and intel-nvidia hybrid graphic card

Postby Ccaccia73 » Wed May 22, 2013 8:35

Hi everyone,
I have a laptop with Nvidia optimus technology, so I've installed bumblebee. Before installing it, the intergated intel card was working ok, but now the performances seem really bad and if I try "glxspheres", I have
Code: Select all
Polygons in scene: 62464
Xlib:  extension "GLX" missing on display ":0".
ERROR (593): Could not obtain RGB visual with requested properties

while optirun glxspheres works great.
I don't exactly know where to look at.
Thanks

Hi, thanks for the advice, but nv seems not to support my card (GT420m). I imagined the the nvidia drivers were ok, as "optirun glxspheres" is working.

Well it was my fault, sorry... when I updated the nvidia drivers,
Code: Select all
eselect opengl list

switched to "nvidia". Bringing it back to "xorg-X11" solved the problem.
