kernels versioned as 3.9-r3 are still in sabayon-limbo. What repositories are you using? Does hibernation work if you boot with 3.8?

Here on my end 3.9-r3 is already in sabayonlinux.org. When i reboot into 3.8 still no hiberate.

I'm not using limbo repo (confirmed) I upgraded from sabayon repo, using kernel-switcher.

For me switching to systemd solved the problem. Just wonder why ?

also in my case switching to systemd solves the issue, I can't believe the boot speed, with my SSD my desktop boots in hardly 13s to login screen.

BTW eselect settingsd list only shows systemd and it's always selected, no matter the status of eselect sysvinit, so I'm not sure about the correct setting

But a new issue appears, Networkmanager doesn't start.


Aha, the menu entries appears again but suspend doesn't work properly.

I think it's all misconfigured
