after settingup printer test page is empty [Solved]

Hi together,

I freshly installed Sabayon XFCE and want to setup my printer. Testpage is coming, but empty. The terminal says:

hp-setup

Did you configure it using the CUPS browser interface? If not, try doing it that way instead of using the HP Linux tools. Open a browser window and enter the address http://localhost:631/ and proceed from there.

Thks for your help Fitzcarraldo. I made a fresh setup with cups and it's working now with all programms. It's furthermore not working with hplip. I don't know why.

I always use the CUPS browser interface to set up HP printers (there are a lot in the offices I work in), and I have never bothered to try the HP tools as CUPS Manager works fine.
