@Matte88 It is designed so you can have multiple kernel versions + drivers installed.

Hi joost! So, let me understand: no more upgrading drivers (modules) if a new kernel version is installed? I mean: i can keep x11-drivers/nvidia-drivers-270.41.06#2.6.37-sabayon, install userspace (it's done automatically by Entropy when a new version of nvidia-drivers is installed, right?) and then if I'll install sys-kernel/linux-sabayon-2.6.39-r2 I won't need to also install nVIDIA drivers for that new kernel version? :? But then why kernel-switcher upgrades also nVIDIA drivers for that kernel version?...
Sorry for theese questions: I'm confused... A lot! :lol: But I want to understand!

You can have multiple nvidia driver packages (for several kernels) installed.
So if you need to boot an older kernel, no more messing around with that driver.

maybe I'm wrong ...

but then the <userspace> package contains the portion of the driver (same version obviously) that does not change according to the kernel ? :?:
