WUSB600N v2 driver help!

Postby imorhi » Sun May 01, 2011 1:29

Well I've been looking all day and I've run out of ideas. I've already tried this:

http://gordonazmo.wordpress.com/2010/02/04/getting-the-linksys-wusb600n-v2-usb-stick-to-work-in-linux/

and various versions of the same thing

and

http://forum.sabayon.org/viewtopic.php?f=86&t=20976&p=118547&hilit=WUSB600N#p118547

Unfortunately the latter only works for the v1 of this particular adapter and I have the v2 which instead of the rt2870 uses the rt3572

However, Sabayon gets an error on the make and I'm not very experienced with Linux so I'm not sure what to do.

The Ethernet on this certain computer is broken (go figure) so I can't do anything that need the Internet for

Anyway I really would like this to work or I have to go back to using Windows :(

Thanks in advanced

The driver should be in kernel now.

We will need the output of dmesg that shows the device getting plugged in.

1. Unplug device.
2. Start copying dmesg
3. plug in device.
4. post here.
5. profit?

Trying to get this working in Gentoo/Sabayon Linux looks horrendous: Linksys WUSB600n v2 & 2.6.33 [update] [ebuild].
