Sabayon Fonts look horrible

Postby Noktar » Wed Mar 16, 2011 21:46

Hey Guys

I've just installed Sabayon Gnome 32bit. But there is some trouble.
At first the fonts are looking terrible. Everthing looks blurred or fuzzy. I booted the KDE livecd but it is exactly the same.
I made some screenshots: for example watch the letter k..

Here are the logs of my Xorg.0.log and ~/.xsession-errors

I tried to change the font style, anti aliasing...nothing helps.
Any ideas about that?

The second problem relates the video output of flash youtube videos. There is heavy tearing when playing such videos.

Hi, welcome to the Sabayon Community.
Check out this topic, it should help with fonts configuration.

About flash... Which video card do you have? ATI is known to have tearing problems, it is drivers related.
Adobe flash, by the way, is not the best example of linux software...
