From what you have posted it appears you are doing something incorrectly if you are getting an error message that Git is not installed. Try again the following as root user:

Code: Select all
# equo update # Update Entropy package database.
# equo upgrade # Upgrade installed Entropy packages.
# equo install git # Install Git packages.
# emerge --sync # Update ebuilds in Portage tree.
# layman -a sabayon # Add Sabayon Portage overlay. Do not worry if a message tells you the overlay is already installed.
# layman -S # Update ebuilds in any third-party overlay that was added, which is probably just Sabayon in your case.
# equo rescue spmsync # Make sure Entropy is in sync with Portage.

Also, post here the output of the command "equo install git".

By the way, since my earlier post there is now an ebuild net-print/epson-inkjet-printer-escpr-1.0.2.ebuild in Gentoo Bugzilla Bug Report No. 337953.

Once you have done the above successfully, then you can start thinking about installing the package from a local overlay as explained in my earlier post.
