Post by jaguar1637 » Sun Nov 14, 2010 16:24

Hi

I just tried to install both installations of Sabayon5.4 for AMD (64bits) ,Gnome and KDE
Every time, the touch pad does not work and I have to connect a mouse w/ USB for working w/ this operating system.

Well,my computer is a portable SONY VPCEF3E1E
Processeur: AMD Athlon II P340 Dual-Core Processor 2.2 GHz
Memry: 4 Go DDR3

Should I try this trick ?

Does it work with other distro or operating system like windows?
The Freedom Technologies Are Available!
I love KDE rolling release distributions that just works!

Someone in Sony must have a perverse aversion to Linux, I think. Audio, video, you name it.

No guarantees, but try Tapping does not work on a Synaptics touchpad [Solved].

Yep, guys

I just installed a Windows 7 Ultimate edition.
Now , I try to create another partition to dual-boot w/ Sabayon 5.4 AMD 64 K or G
And after, I will create a VMWare partition where I will put upon it, a Sabayon distrib.

Of course, I could have done the opposite, that means
- first install Sabayon,
- secondly create a VMWAre w/ Windows 7
But, the mouse pad does not work

that's why my post exit.
Oh someone put a good trick. I am going to check it right now

TIA

May the force be w/ you !!

If you have Windows 7 installed and want to dual boot with SL then I recommend that you read the SL Wiki article HOWTO: Dual boot Sabayon Linux and Windows.
