I have just installed Sabayon 3.5 and have problems with the sound configuration.
I am using a M-audio 24/96 pci sound card and had to do a manual configuration after installation using the "Alsaconf" command to get it going.
But it is not persistant and have to it again after every reboot.
Is there a way to load the configuration or driver during boot time?
It seems to be using the ice1712 sound module.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It might be worth you performing a search of the SL Forum using keywords such as "M-audio" and "ice1712". The problem you describe seems to be quite common for various sound cards and, depending on the card, solutions range from blacklisting modules to rebuilding the SL kernel without ALSA support and then merging the ALSA drivers.
