Sony VGNFS550 Laptop wont go full screen

Postby sethd1989 » Wed Jul 23, 2008 21:40

This is using the intel945GM graphics. I tried the Wiki's, i've read the Howto's and nothing. Most of those are labeled under "resolution problem" etc... i've logged into chat support and tried changing the xork.conf etc...It wont fill in the whole screen there's about 2 inches on all sides that is black and I want it fill the whole screen.

FYI - Ubuntu and Fedora sizes the screen properly.

Steal the ubuntu and fedora xorg.conf verbatim (back up the sab one first), and then check the drivers they use and emerge them if it's not the same versions as Sabayon. That will get you the right resolution, but you may have to merge the sab and ubuntu confs to get desktop acceleration working.
