Starting X on 3.5 32-bit

I had 3.4 working on an older 32-bit machine (a PII on an ASUS P2B, with a current nvidia AGP card).
I installed 3.5 32-bit, but it only gets to console mode.
I've included the Xorg log here, but I can't figure out what it wants.

Have you tried starting using the "nv" driver in /etc/X11/xorg.conf ?

That's what it wanted. It starts now, but this P-II has finally become obsolete. To continue using this motherboard I'll have to get him a P-III with ESS support. I wouldn't spend any real money on this box, but I'll try to pick up a P-III for peanuts.
