I just downloaded the lastest build of Sabayon 3.5 release. I figure I do
a new install due to a new mother board and a new video card. So,
here is a list of my hardware:
Mid-Tower system with a Ultra 700w PSU
Asus A8N32-SLi Deluxe with a AMD64 4200+ cpu
1 ATI XT2900 pci-e
1 WD 320gb sata
1 WD 500gb sata
I installed from the dvd disk .. no problems .. When I try to play something
from Hulu's web site no sound ... I looked at what was loaded for sound
drivers ... it was the ATI drivers ?
Is there a quick way to select the sound card from my mother board instead
of the ATI one?
I had a old nvidia video, so I got a AMD xt2900 ...
I tried using alsaconf to select the proper sound card. After running it
and rebooting the system .. Still no sound ....
Most likely I need to redo some settings in the kernel to include the
proper drivers ...
So, is there a util to update the kernel in Sabayon? or
A way to install my sound drivers for the hardware thats on the mother board?
