ress prob after autoupdate [Solved]

Postby Agn » Wed Jun 18, 2008 5:59

Hi,

my problem is, that after yetserdays autoupdate (i dont rly know what was updated, i just click "add all" button") my ressolution changed, and i cant fix it.

i have 15'' iiyama PLE385, with can only use 1024x768, and after reboot my ress changed to 1280x1024. after i click (gdm) settings/change ressolution, and try to change it, applying it, the x gets killed, and it returns to login screen again but with old ress (1280x1024). I checked xorg.conf, but there is no mode / line about 1280x1024 so i rly dont know what is wrong

my gfx card is nvidia 6600 LE, when i try to run nvidia settings manager it gives me standard reply "u r not using nvidia driver, plz update xorg.conf bla bla"

help plz ;]
