Nvidia geforce 7600 GO fan problem

Post by spazzy » Fri Feb 15, 2008 12:14

I've installed Sabayon 3.4e on my Toshiba Satellite P100 notebook and I've observed that it runs very hot [especialy while the graphical accelerator is used]. I've istalled a heat monitoring tool and noticed that the video card was running very hot [around 80 C degrees]. I think the fan on the video card isn't turned on or it's not working properly.

Any suggestions ?

Thank you,

I have an Nvidia GeForce Go 7900 GS card on my laptop, and I've noticed it will run very when running off batteries; when this happens to you, are you running off your battery, or connected to the AC adapter (or both)? This may be a bug that needs reporting :)
