How to set disks timeouts?

Post by msdobrescu » Tue Aug 18, 2020 22:42

Hello, I have two hard drive enclosures based on Lycom UB-208RM cards, see specs here.
They worked fine until 6TB disks were added to them (WD Blue 6TB SATA-III 5400 RPM 64MB). It seems disks other timeouts than standard (30) are needed.

Is it possible to have a script that sets the timeouts between reboots? How?

Not sure.
I think that this controlled may have problems to manage >4TB disk capacity.
