Portato 0.8.5

Postby Necoro » Sun Aug 26, 2007 7:10

I'd like to announce the new release 0.8.5.
I have already introduced it some posts above, but for convenience I do here again :)
  • added an uncaught exception dialog
  • i18n
  • internal enhancements / killed some bugs
  • added splash screen
  • added notifies (use libnotify to use them)
  • added listener / launch gksu/kdesu by ourselves
  • now showing differences between "installed" and "enabled" useflags
I hope it makes its way into the sunrise-overlay soon :) (or even into the portage-tree :)).

I have updated to the latest version of portato and now it only runs from Konsole!
I am running 3.4, hopefully i will have 3.4e downloaded by tomorrow and see if that makes a difference.

Isn't there an icon in your desktop menu?

If you use the latest version (0.8.5), please run in console as normal user and give me the error message :)

There is no error message. It opens ok from console, it is only when I try to open it via the icon that it doesn't work.

Even if you start it at normal user from the console (it should ask you for password too)?

/edit: Please attach the content of /usr/share/applications/portato.desktop =)
