Recompiling Sabayon 3.5

i just got sabayon, and i wanted to know what the commands are to recompile the entire system after editing the make.conf.

i tried that and it didn't work, i don't have internet on the comp i'm doing it on, but i'll try my best to shorthand the output it gives

You will need internet as it needs to get the packages to install

emerge --sync && layman -S first

the best thing - learn the package manager

also read the gentoo handbook since you are new, you just don't simply rebuild

I have read a bit of the Gentoo wiki and everything that has a matter to do with rebuilding and recompiling...

Then I tried the Unofficial guide to World Update and got the same error message.

Please just start me with this thing...

How can I get rid of that error and go on?
