Crash during portage update [Solved]

Postby LordBernhard » Wed Jul 30, 2008 20:04

Hi!

My machine crashed during upgrading portage... on next reboot emerge didn't work anymore so I reinstalled portage through equo... it worked, BUT:

when I now try to emerge a package I get this:

Please... I need help :-)

well, the link to that manual portage fix that killed deadfool is here. I still think asking v00d00 to add portage to his entropy repository might work if you first use equo to remove all traces of your dead portage.

thx for your help :-) it's partly solved for now (atm I'm using emergency portage (installed by the script from the gentoo wiki)) .. I'll try later replacing the original portage files with the one from the emergency... hope it'll work :-)

I think I can mark this bug as closed
