alsa update...

Hi I am not finding the newest alsa driver (emerge -s alsa...) Is it possible to make it available?

alsa 1.0.15rc1 or newer?? I need this to make my e-mu pci1616 sound card work!

1) alsa is integrated in the kernel, so if u need to use alsa-drivers you have to recompile the kernel disabling them in it and after install alsa
2) the package name is alsa-drivers, u ever run a emerge --sync && layman -s sabayon ?

its there now... I did the emerge --sync things, so thats fine :D


So what should I do? I am emerging all alsa things now.... Thats not enough?

I did rebueld the kernel without alsa support. I did emerge alsa-driver, that was fine. I rebooted the computer... not fine... It wont start. Any idea?

The computer freezes... Here is the last line in verbose mode: Loading module vboxdrv... After that nothing.
