Intel Q6600 + MAKEOPTS question.

Postby WarraWarra » Sat Sep 22, 2007 19:17

Not sure but my t2600 runs properly at "-j16" for the mobile core duo 32bit or I can run 32 threads with 80% usage in windows not that that means anything.

In MAKEOPTS="-j ??? " what should the Q6600 quad core proper -j be ?
minm of -j64 or -j128 ?

Any ideas on this. The cpu+1 was correct way back in P4 country i686/k6 cpu's not k10 amd and Quad cores as we now have as default.

Just had a little think. They may mean -j20 per physical processor so therefore -j80 :)
