Xorg Update: XDM issues

Post by trephined » Fri Sep 21, 2007 14:58

I have what I believe is an xdm issue, though it could be a general xorg issue.

After updating xorg-server and xorg-x11 successfully and revdep-rebuild 'ing i restart x and am presented with kdm, GREAT!

however, i go to login and cannot move my cursor, or type anything on my keyboard
if i switch to a different terminal like f6 i get the non graphical terminal, and the square cursor on the window. the cursor moves, i can type fine. so what is my issue?

Edit your xorg.conf, where it reads /dev/input/mice, change it to /dev/input/mouse0

//edit
I asume you kept your old xorg.conf here.
