Nvidia won't start [Solved]

Post by woody3883 » Sat Apr 16, 2016 10:23

A client of my which uses Sabayon has a problem with his nvidia card.
The screen stays black. No access to the gui.
I have to use the xorg driver to gain access. This slows the computer down.
It happened after the update some two weeks ago and after the command equo --purge.
The solutions given on this forum didn't work.
I tried different drivers with no result.
Anyone an idea whats gone wrong??

Wout

I'm feeling a bit stupid. I don't know how it was possible, but sddm was in one way or an other kickt out off the video group. This happened after an update. I should have checked it earlier but I didn't. Cost me a lot of time to solve this simple problem.
Thanks Wolfden for you reply but this problem is solved.
