Sabayon KDE will turned to KDE 5 [Solved]

Post by albfneto » Tue Sep 08, 2015 15:14

I see that, in the upgrades of today,,,,8th, September.

Upgrading KDE seems to make deep changes in my system, packages will be removed, moved etc...
This will turn my KDE 4 to KDE 5?

I tested KDE 5 in the live DVD of Joost, but this is my job computer!

Please, if the changes will turn KDE to the version 5, i dont want this in my job computer.

the procedure for not change the version of KDE?

Sabayon is a rolling release distro. This is the behavior you should expect. When updated software comes out and it's deemed stable enough, it replaces what was there before. There used to be a community run 'frozen' repo that never got any updates, but you could install packages as they were, but I haven't heard much about that for quite a while.
