install of plasme 5

Yesterday I installed plasma5,today equo update wants to install kde-base/kephal(4.11.22 and a few other files is this ok or not

It shouldn't hurt anything, but I don't think plasma 5 uses that at all, you can also remove it.

Part of the reason the Plasma 5 repo is separate is because there's not really a good upgrade path for it yet. Installing plasma 5 doesn't nicely remove everything that plasma 4 had installed.

I would like to note that not all of the apps have been ported to KDE frameworks 5, so it is expected that you will still have some apps and their frameworks still be version 4 (kate being a prime example). After a few more kde-app releases I expect that number to decrease even more to the point where all kde4 frameworks and apps can be removed without losing any important kde apps (although I'm sure there will be a few apps not well maintained that linger on kde4).

Ok thanks for the reply I did try uninstalling kde 4 files but some were obviously needed as they got reinstalled with update,
