I've been using KDE for a while now & I simply love it (due to it's flexibility)...but when I went back to Gnome (just to test some things), I realised that it is a lot more responsive (faster) & simpler compared to KDE (that doesn't mean I'm leaving KDE )

Anyway, with the release of the new Ubuntu...I feel tempted to try out Gnome-shell & see for myself how it's like, etc.

So I was wondering whether Gnome shell is available in Sabayon repos? I've searched for it, but couldn't come up with anything. Also, any idea when to expect Gnome3 to be available on the repos?

Thanks a lot!

There is a lot of work needed for Gnome 3 to come to gentoo, it will be slotted however, which means we will have both version 2 and 3 in the tree, at least in theory.

So it will be done as soon as all the prerequisite work has been completed. :D
