Which is better?

Post by nishi » Thu Jul 30, 2009 2:39

I am not 100% sure this is the right area to post this. Sorry in advance if not.

I was wondering if you guys think Gnome is better, or KDE. I personally go with Gnome, not sure why. I have tried only KDE once or twice and just not been fond of it.. I think that was with Kubuntu, and not sure of the second.

What are the main differences? Or advantages of using one or the other?

Age old question, Just a matter of preferences. I prefer kde 3.5 over gnome, will not be available soon and harder to get. Makes gnome look good....but kde 4.3 is looking pretty good.... simply 6 of these and 1/2 dozen of the other, you have to make up your own mind.
They both are good.

The best Desktop Environment is the one that suits your needs, try em out and use the one u like. The rest is nothing but a flame war.

both are good. KDE 4 have more menus, more rsource, more customizable, bu GNOME is more organized.
but you may use many others: XFCE, LXDE, E17 etc..
i enjoy all, and i use all also.
