Emerald problem

Postby jhernand15 » Fri Jul 04, 2008 18:07

I updated compiz from 5.2 to 6 version but now emerald does not run and all windows appears without borders and of couse I can't move it. First I uninstalled emerald in order to see if this would fix the problem but when I try to reemerge emerald I get the following message: "there are no ebuidls to satisfy gnome-base/control-center-2.16.1
Any advice?
Thank's in advance

5.2 to 6?

The latest compiz is 0.7.2?

try:

Code: Select all
equo update && equo install compiz-fusion

I had the same problem when I upgraded the compiz/compiz-fusion packages from 0.7.4 to 0.7.6 some weeks ago. I don't use the GNOME desktop, so I just did:

Code: Select all
# USE="-gnome" emerge -1v compiz compiz-fusion compizconfig-python compiz-bcop compizconfig-backend-gconf compizconfig-backend-kconfig libcompizconfig compiz-fusion-plugins-main compiz-fusion-plugins-extra ccsm fusion-icon emerald

and it built everything, and it all works.
