I've never had that issue. I'm using the portage version tho. The thing I notice the most with KDE 4 is the task manager or bottom panel really is flakey. I finally got rid of the default ugly menu and reverted back to the good old menu tho.

Yeap, got the some problem as mobilehunter. And I've installed KDE4 bothways: through Ent and portage on both Sabayons: x86 & x86_64.

The other problem was that I could add apps' icons to the panel but after each logout the icons were gone from the panel.

Now the only problem so far is that the panel (on compiz) looses colors, becomes partially see-through: it seems that is doesn't refresh right.

ahhhh, so it's compiz that is causing that, didn't think of that.

Guess I've been lucky with the logout than, have always been able too

Yes i updated through entropy.
But i just updated for my curiosity.
I still cannot use it daily, because the font's appearance so ugly (my eyes got tired easily).
Also the gtk window looks ugly.

And there is no polish letters in x86_64 but there are in x86.
The onther thing is that in 64-bit version the up-arrow doesn't work: instead of previous command there is screen snapshot.

So it's not just in 4.0.5 but in all previous releases?
