Problem with icons theme [SOLVED]

Post by schmitt » Sat Mar 29, 2008 2:15

I'm using KDE but have set nautilus as default file browser rather than konqueror.

While using nautilus I cant set any other icon theme than GNOME default and would continue to using nuvola theme as in konqueror.

I set nuvola icon theme on KDE control center and apply but it has no effect GNOME icon theme is still set...

some suggestion?

boot into gnome and change the themes there, nautilus will draw its theme data from the gnome configs before the kde configs, so if they exist at all they'll be used.

be sure you're using file manager when you theme things and not the old nautilus, I think both are in the versions of gnome included in the release - if you can find the config files that determine default gnome theme and change them, that'll get you around this problem, though it isn't an ideal solution.
