compiz crash

Post by xlnagla » Mon Mar 17, 2008 2:23

My compiz continually crashes when it loads, and this is all I get out of it -

Info: No sexy-python package found, don't worry it's optional.
* Setting window manager to Compiz
... executing: compiz --replace --sm-disable --ignore-desktop-hints ccp --indirect-rendering
compiz (snow) - Info: Loaded Texture snowflake.png

Any ideas?

yup, that's what I did - the only compiz-related output from fusion-icon from prompt is that bit there on my last post. Doesn't load at all. Using 0.7.2 from the overlay, everything's the same version so there's no shearing there.

augh, not using the overlay one here, I always use the dev version from Desktop-Effects

looks like others having issues with overlay one too

Desktop-effects version is a tad buggy, but it works (and is therefore better than the overlay version). Thanks for your help, got it up and running.
