Samba not starting on Boot: Sabayon 11 [Solved]

Thunar w/ Thunar-Share-Plugin added

So Samba stopped starting on boot with the addition of Thunar-Share-Plugin..
I added it with RIGO.
My SAMBA had been sharing fine but I decided to add the Plugin anyway.
When I did and used the Plugin in Thunar the Plugin warned of Permission changes and such.
The Samba smb.cnf is the same used successfully in Calculate Linux, Slackware & Debian.
In the aforementioned Distros Thunar-Share-Plugin Not employed.

Although I attempted and did remove the Thunar-Share_plugin the modifications were not undone with the package removal. I was not about to search around and check all the possibilities that may have been changed.
Here is the Simple solution I employed to make certain that SAMBA started each time. Also how you can check before and after the change that the smb and nmb daemons are running.

If you check Samba in a terminal and it is not starting on boot then
chances are it is not in a link to start or runlevel.
So, first check
Code: Select all
sqlpython@bobs-sl410 ~ $ su
bobs-sl410 sqlpython # ps -A | grep smbd
bobs-sl410 sqlpython #

(no return above means not started)
(you can also)

Code: Select all
bobs-sl410 sqlpython # /etc/init.d/samba status
 * status: stopped

(next, add it to start runlevel)
Code: Select all
bobs-sl410 sqlpython # rc-update del samba default
bobs-sl410 sqlpython # rc-update add samba default

(REBOOT and Check)

Code: Select all
bobs-sl410 sqlpython # ps -A | grep smbd
 8851 ?        00:00:00 smbd
 8857 ?        00:00:00 smbd
bobs-sl410 sqlpython # ps -A | grep nmbd
 8858 ?        00:00:00 nmbd
bobs-sl410 sqlpython # /etc/init.d/samba status
 * status: started

(EVERYTHING is now fine ;^)
Criticism accepted for Solutions that work. ;^)
