Belkin F5D8053 v1000

Post by Seklum » Sun May 16, 2010 23:29

I spent about 5 hours yesterday getting ndiswrapper to work, (new to linux), and I got everything working now. However the wireless menu will not show any networks. In terminal

Code: Select all

ndiswrapper -l
comes back saying the driver is there, and that the device is present. I have done

Code: Select all

depmod -a
modprobe ndiswrapper
and it works perfectly fine.
I really need this to work, and any help would be appreciated.

That's a USB device, isn't it? Post here the output of the following commands issued in a Konsole/Terminal window as the root user after plugging in the device:

Code: Select all

You wrote that you used NDISwrapper: Did you use the Windows driver from Belkin's CD/DVD that came with the device? And did you use the Windows XP driver, as opposed to the Windows Vista/7 driver?
