Post by eu-slack » Thu Mar 11, 2010 0:17

So here are some informations:

I don't have your hardware, so my advice can only go so far.

Do you have the firmware installed? The package is net-wireless/rt73-firmware.

Furthermore, from what you have posted the rt73usb module is loaded but I wonder if you need to blacklist the rt2500usb, rt2x00usb and rt2x00lib modules as they are presumably for other Ralink models and are perhaps interfering with the rt73usb driver. Have you tried blacklisting those other modules, one at a time? To blacklist a module you add a line to the file /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf as follows:

Code: Select all

blacklist rt2500usb
and then:

Code: Select all

update-modules
and then reboot and use:

Code: Select all

lsmod
to check that the relevant module is not loaded this time.
