How to set wireless bitrate [Solved]

Postby corktowner » Thu Jan 28, 2010 18:23

I am a Sabayon newbie, though a dedicated linux user. In other distros, setting the bitrate for wireless cards is part of the wireless setup. When I setup my wireless in Sabayon, I did not have that option. Can this be done? Thanks for the input.

The new mac802.11 stack will sort that out for you, it adjusts the rate dependant on siginal level and throughput to keep the rate as good as possible

Actually, there is no change from the initial 1MiB rate. I have to manually set using iwconfig if I want it at 54MiB.
