Or you could try an alternative to NetworkManager: wicd (
http://wicd.sourceforge.net/)
An ebuild can be found in the sunrise overlay and my (x86) repo contains a package for entropy (
http://users.telenet.be/brulee/)
My repo is not yet listed on the wiki, but you can use the few packages already by adding the following line to your '/etc/entropy/repositories.conf'
- Code: Select all
repository|brulee|XFCE oriented repository|http://users.telenet.be/brulee|http://users.telenet.be/brulee#bz2
I heard a couple of success stories with wicd where NetworkManager failed. I myself have it now installed for 3 days to test it. It seems to be stable so far, but so was NetworkManager in my case.
