Samba/VPN problems UGH!

Postby chickpea » Wed Apr 02, 2008 2:34

Don't know what happened, but I used to be able to browse to my work file server (MS Exchange 2003) from home on the VPN, well I can get the VPN tunnel up and running ok (using KVPNC) but when I browse via konqueror ala "smb://username@192.168.10.38/Client Files" (192.168.10.38 is the tunnel ip) it doesn't work anymore. I am not doing anything different. I upgraded kvpnc a while ago and I can't remember if samba ever worked over the new kvpnc tunnel after the upgrade or not, but I don't get the feeling this is the issue. Any ideas?

you should get a couple errors from the command line when you invoke smbmount for whatever directory you want to mount - see if smbmount tells you anything interesting.
