no I should have been more clear.....
anyway that doesn't work either, the cd contains WINXP WINME WIN98 and X64 drivers I don't actually know what the X64 is because belkin say they dont support 64bit
but if I modprobe -r ndiswrapper then ndiswrappper -r <orignal 32bit> and go through the install again with X64, ndiswrapper seems happy to install the 64 bit driver but as soon as I modprobe ndiswrapper the machine locks up and I cant do a thing with it. No messages just lockdown. The mouse doesnt move so I try to switch to command line and the keyboard is ignored. (kernel crash?)
I am suspicious of the X64 driver but I can't find an alternative. I have lowered myself to touting about on windows 64 bit forums looking but no success. I will try realteck again.
