Error when trying to connect via KPPP

Postby applecookie » Wed Feb 20, 2008 7:20

Hi.

I use KPPP in Sabayon, to connect to the web via my internal UMTS card. When I do so as normal user, KPPP tries to connect and then brings an error message "Error 4". When I click on "Details" it says, that I have to enter the command "mknod /ppp/dev c 108 0" as root.

Ok, I do so and now I can connect as user with KPPP.

But only till the next reboot.

How can I make this permanently, so I don't need to enter the command each time?

Regards

Greetings!

if you want, you can add it to your local bootscripts - To have a command run at boot simply add the command to /etc/conf.d/local.start.
