System won't boot without killing "kbdrate"

Heres the problem: My computer won't start unless I kill the "kbdrate" process from another one of the termainals. It appears to occur on the loading of the X system.

As in I have to kill it atleast twice, once when X is first load and then again when X is loaded with XGL.

Does anyone know what the problem is?

I have an intel iMac running in boot camp; it works in every other distro.

I dont have a resolution to this problem, but it certainly appears to be a problem with Intel Macintoshes under bootcamp. My Macbook exhibits the exact same behavior.
