I was just about to try out your new KDE SL 13.04. It seems the installer has a problem. The DVD is fine, I checked with the "check" option, it shows error message (see below) and the goes to check the DVD and says it is fine - also the md5 code matches when writing to the DVD.
Live booting is fine, SL works, browsing works. However, when I click on the Install on Disk I cannot go past the "choose devices" option, the installer just vanishes and I cannot even use the restart option, I have to use the power button. Then I tried the Install option from the main DVD menu, it comes first with some errors and then continues to boot the system from DVD. Here are the error messages:
- Code: Select all
[0.729695] drm/i810 does not support SMP
iscsistart: transport class version 2.0-872 iscsid version 2.0-872
Could not get boot entry
Does this have to do with my system "x86_64 AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 810 Processor AuthenticAMD" ?
