Post by dale92 » Mon Mar 08, 2010 0:23

I've gotten sabayon to install in a virtualbox, but when I go to install it on my computer after the loading screen I get about six mini screens.

here are the specs

Bizarre. Don't know, but you could try using a kernel boot parameter (a.k.a. 'boot cheat code'). You press F5 when you get to the boot menu of the LiveDVD, and append the boot parameter(s) to the end of the kernel boot command displayed on-screen. Try noddc first. If that doesn't help then try xdriver=nv. If that also makes no difference, try xdriver=nvidia.

I tried noddc earlier, nothing changed.
Here's the result of the other two.

My last shot: try xdriver=vesa. If that at least allows you to get to a low-res desktop then you can try to install the correct video driver from there. If that does not work, then I hope an nVidia user pipes up.
