I'm becoming quite tired of Sabayon lately, I haven't had a bootable version work properly directly after burn since version 3.2.
Every edition that has come out since 3.2 has had some issue completely locking up and the latest stops on all my systems but are recoverable except my two AMD dual-core systems when doing the SabayonInstall when loading LVM for AMD64. I've tried both 32-bit and 64-bit CD and DVD editions on a variety of hardware and every single version since 3.2 has always required me to use custom boot strings and interactive boot to disable systems to get it functioning properly. As a happy observer of the Sabayon project for a while now I'm getting extremely aggravated with each and every release, I appreciate all the effort that is going into it and maybe I just happen to manage about 9 computers that nobody working on Sabayon has matching hardware for, but being as they are fairly standard parts (judging from message boards) and most of the equipment inside is standard off-the-shelf retail parts, that seems unlikely, besides the failures usually have nothing to do with hardware support (by appearance) and everything to do with some script built-in to each version to make the auto-configuration process run smoother. Apart from a minor annoyance everytime I want to try the new version hoping it will work by default and doesn't, I like Sabayon, but until I see a working version out of the box again, I will continue to avoid installing it on my system in favor a stock Gentoo which has never failed me.
Keep up the great work and hopefully I'll get a functional bootable CD/DVD again here one day.
