errors: 3.4 mini x86 clean install

Postby random guy » Sun Sep 23, 2007 21:44

just did a clean format and install with 3.4 mini edition. after a very long install process i ended up getting errors and afterwards booted into my second os (win xp) without bringing up grub.

image passed md5 checksum.

the error report suggested it was a bug so here it is:

    f = open(instPath + "/etc/resolv.conf", "w")

it was a small partition but it did the file installation part fine, it crashed at the end.

also the edition was kinda buggy, certain windows locked up and kpanel did too. i suspect it was becasue of the 3d effects though and may have been a fluke. dont know for sure yet.

Mini failed to boot for me too - Burned CD and checked mdsum OK> everything booted past the udev loading module, long wait, then errors in the following /sbin/rc commands: reboot, grep, ln, depscan.sh, softlevel, rc-services.sh and mark-services-started. Finally hangs at "..agetty, no more processes to run at this level.." Please see my previous post below.

I am damn sure I listed all these errors in 3.4e and 3.4f but nobody seems to take notice... :cry: :cry:
