Steam asks for update [Solved]

Postby aquarius » Fri Feb 15, 2013 12:34

This might be related to official Steam release for Linux.

When I launch steam it shows terminal woth folloing text:
Warning: Your steam package is out of date. Please get an updated version from your package provider or directly from http://repo.steampowered.com/steam for supported distributions.

Probably, steam packages should be updated. But I'm not sure.

Looks like they were updated just today. If you see this message last for more than a week, then I'd start to wonder if it was missed, but sometimes it takes a few days to push out a new version of a package.

I use weekly repo. So, for me it's this weekend on the next one. Both options are perfectly fine for me :)
