I have no idea what the issue is with the languages, but you can change that in kde setups/control panel I think. Far as Beryl, the beryl icon is active at the top of your screen, so all you should have to do is right click it and enable beryl window manager.

Beryl is working fine, well mostly fine, only desktop one has any icons, and before that i was having trouble getting the cube to remain transparent, i though Beryl was to blame for the weird lettering, but it remains after reboot, ill re-emerge Azureus later, or maybe swith to utorrent. Also my machine has turned off a few times mysteriously, i guessed that it was just overheating becasue of beryl, but didnt have kgrellm open either time, so now my lappys on a cooling rack...

will see.

i jsut tried to emerge gaim and instead it started emerging

/usr/portage/dev-lang/mono/mono-1.2.3.1.ebuild: src_compile aborted; exiting.

Impact

A local attacker could create links in the temporary file directory, pointing to a valid file somewhere on the filesystem. When an affected class is called, this could result in the file being overwritten with the rights of the user running the script.

Um does this stuff actually happen to desktop users like moi?

Hehe.. i guess this is offtopic to my own posting, unless its related..

update: my nvidia cpu core temp is 81-91c! wholy frack, that cant be good right?

Damn laptop, i already have you on a cooling rack.
I told my GF to not buy an HP DV2000 but it was soooo pretty she couldn't resist..
The cpu sensors are at 55 and 58, which seems okay.

Isn't utorrent for windows?
I doubt beryl would cause your computer to overheat. It is more likely that the kernel is not configured with your system correctly.

Did your computer run very hot when using the live cd?
How did you install Azureus? Have you installed any other software?
If beryl is acting odd you can always set it back to it's default settings.

hmm, no more emerge with 3d desktop and all seems fine, also kgrellm shows more heat sensors that whatver i was using before, and everything is hovering at 60, i think i can relax now... maybee overheating/insta-bios shutdown is what casued azeurus to corrupt its lettering? any thoughts?
and what of the gimp which crashed during emerge do i jsut emerge again?
