Interesting views on how people view tech changes

Post by Richlion » Wed Mar 13, 2013 14:10

Hello,

I recenlty found some articles (link from forums.kde.org):
Experimentation vs. Tradition: The Future of Innovation on the Linux Desktop
http://www.datamation.com/open-source/e ... top-1.html
Will 90 percent of users always hate Windows 8?
http://www.zdnet.com/will-90-percent-of ... 000012348/

Lessons to be learned.

Hm, interesting.
But I miss one point: Performance.
Especially performance in term of elder hardware.
That was the main reason I turn my back on KDE - it's simply to heavy.
And I used KDE Plasma even on a Laptop ;)

But one desktop type miss also: The web based. Such things like Chrome OS.
You will agree with me, that the web is highly innovative.

Hm, but I have to admit, that I don't have a smartphone (yet), so I cannot speak about its user experience or tablet's one.
